State Championship Banners
Custom twill and vinyl banners that put your state title on the gym wall for good. Made in the USA in your school colors, with your mascot, and ready to update as your program adds titles.
What are state championship banners? State championship banners are custom gym banners that permanently record a team's state title, usually showing the school name and mascot, the sport, the words "State Champions," and the year. Awards America makes them in twill or vinyl, made in the USA in your school colors, and offers updating services so one banner can grow with every title your program wins.
What goes on a state championship banner?
A state championship banner usually carries five elements: the school name, the mascot, the sport, the words "State Champions," and the year of the title. Many schools also add their division or classification so the achievement reads clearly to every visitor.
- School name and mascot in your exact school colors
- Sport (football, volleyball, wrestling, basketball, track and more)
- "State Champions" as the headline text
- Year of the title, with room to add future years
- Division or classification, if your state awards titles by class
Twill or vinyl: which banner is right for you?
Choose twill for a traditional look and vinyl for detailed graphics and a modern finish. Both are custom made for your school, so the choice comes down to the style you want on your wall.
| Banner type | Look | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Twill | Traditional fabric banner in your school colors with your mascot | Schools that want a classic gym banner that matches decades of existing titles |
| Vinyl | More detailed graphics and a modern look that draws attention | Schools that want bold graphics, detailed logos, or a contemporary design |
See the full range of materials and styles on our custom twill and vinyl banners page.
Can you add future titles to a championship banner?
Yes. Awards America offers updating services for championship banners, so as your program wins more titles, the new years can be added rather than ordering a separate banner every time. Many schools plan for this from the start by leaving space under the first year.
When should you order a state championship banner?
Order as soon as the title is won. Most schools want the banner ready for a public moment, such as a banner-raising at a home game, the next season opener, or the spring awards banquet, so starting the quote right after the final gives you the most room. Check our shipping and turnaround page when you plan your date.
What else do schools order for a state championship?
A state title usually calls for recognition beyond the gym wall. Schools often pair the team banner with:
- Chenille patches for each player's letterman jacket, from our patches for sports and clubs
- Plaques for coaches, seniors, and the trophy case, from our custom plaques
- Medals for the full roster, from our medals line
- Individual recognition banners that let each athlete display their patches without a jacket, from our recognition banners
Awards America also makes conference banners and sportsmanship banners, so a championship program can keep its whole wall consistent.
